“His theme of “holding the rope for each other” struck a powerful chord. That message has had a lasting impact on our organization and is now one of the three core pillars guiding our 2026 strategic plan.”
Austen Powell, Vice President of Strategic Operations, Civitas Senior Living

The signature keynotes

Rope-Holders

Who is holding your rope?

Picture yourself hanging off a cliff by a rope, a thousand feet of rock below you, one person on the other end. Who do you want it to be, and what are they made of? That question, handed to Chris by his high school coach, is the whole talk. It sorts the people holding the rope from the people only ranking each other.

What the room leaves withA shared picture they will still be using next quarter. Civitas made it a pillar of their 2026 strategic plan.

45 to 60 minutes, expandable to a workshop. For every audience.

AI Readiness Is a Leadership Problem

AI will not take over the world. The people who know how to use it will.

As machines take over the execution, the scarce thing is no longer skill. It is judgment, character, and the willingness to serve the person next to you. AI readiness is a leadership question, not a software project.

What the room leaves withLess fear of the wave, and a plan for the human things it cannot copy that a CEO and a frontline manager can both act on.

45 to 60 minutes. For corporate teams, executives, and conferences.

The Untapped Bench

The best leaders you will ever hire already think like an athlete.

Athletes are one of the most overlooked sources of leadership talent in the workforce. This talk shows a room how to spot the instincts, hire for them, and build them in people who never played a down. It is the idea that became AmplifyU.

What the room leaves withA practical way to develop the leaders already on their bench.

45 to 60 minutes. For universities, athletic departments, talent and culture teams, and operators.

What it is like to work with him

Before the event, we get on a call so the talk is built for your room and not pulled off a shelf. Chris shows up early, and stays late. Bulk copies of the books are available for attendees on request. He is based in Texas and speaks nationwide.

Chris greeting attendees at an event
“There are a lot of gifted speakers that can command an audience and convey a powerful message, but the difference with Chris is that he not only talks the talk, but he has walked the walk. Many of our team is still talking about his challenge to fight for one another and be a “Team of Ropeholders” that can accomplish anything.”
Adam L. Feriend, Owner and Chief Operating Officer, JRJ Construction
