AI will not take over the world. The people who know how to use it will.

Every company I talk to is asking a technical question about AI. How do we integrate it, how do we govern it, how do we protect our data. Those are real questions. They are also the wrong place to start.

Here is what happens as the machines get good. They take over the execution. The typing, the sorting, the first draft, the lookup. What they cannot take is judgment under pressure, character when no one is watching, and the willingness to serve the person next to you. As execution gets cheap, those become the whole ballgame.

I call it AI readiness, and it is not a software project. It is a leadership question. Who on your team is indispensable when the tools are free, and are you building more of them? This is the talk that turns a room's fear of the wave into a clear-eyed plan for the human things the wave cannot touch.
